In ‘Susan Looked in a Pool’ when Susan found a pool in which there were anemones she said ‘See?’ and Peter said ‘Whatever’s that?’ and she said ‘Anemone.’ Peter laughed in her face ‘It’s enemy.’ Susan said ‘That’s what it’s called, fucko.’ Susan said ‘When you touch it spikes come out.’ He put his finger on it and they stick to the tip of it. ‘Yikes!’ he goes. ‘Where’s the fun in that?’ She says ‘You don’t see them so much at the moment.’ The thought comes straight into Peter’s mind ‘Is there any money in it?’ Susan goes ‘Anemone, for fuck’s sake.’ Peter’s eyes cloud and briefly we see his halting charm.
